Below is an example of some of the development work which goes into each painting, in this example the sketches are for "pig" (which can be seen in all its glory in the gallery)

Above is a page out of sketchbook, a lot of the development centred on the ribs, which are a combination of two life models and actual pigs (which aren't on here for fear of offending people!)

Working from the female life model the shapes of the torso where derived

The male model spent a lot of time hanging off of the end of a table!
