STEPHANIE
CAVILL, YOUNG BRITISH ARTIST
Stephanie started painting as soon as she could hold a stick. At 17
she discovered a passion for oils. Inspired by the paintings of Francis
Bacon using her friends as models and chipboard to paint on she began
her first collection of figurative works. Under the guidance of Ian
Wilton she began to produce some interesting early works.
The
Artist was only born in earnest when she inherited all of her Grandmothers
watercolours. Inspired by the memory of her Grandmother she began
to paint small landscapes and religious icons.
When
she started to paint figurative and abstract works in watercolour
she discovered she could sell these pieces to fund her coffee habit.
Gathering success her first large commission was for the window of
a bar in her hometown. Her developing style used a combination of
Bacon-esque large brushwork and perfectionist detail drawn from her
work with watercolours.
Stephanie
is at the beginning of what is shaping up to be a very exciting Artistic
career, if you are looking for an investment in modern art her paintings
will only increase in value as her Art and Career mature.
